Seeking a Receptionist for our holistic healing community!

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Receptionist to join in supporting our holistic healing community! The Receptionist will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming and organized environment for our clients and practitioners by ensuring seamless operations, and supporting our mission to provide holistic wellness services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for creating a positive experience for our clients, students and our practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform weekly cleaning and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere in our holistic healing center.
  • Greet clients warmly and create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as the first point of contact.
  • Assist in scheduling client appointments and students into classes, ensuring efficient allocation of appointments, classes and effective utilization of resources.
  • Manage client, student and class documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Process client and student payments accurately and efficiently, utilizing appropriate software and payment methods.
  • Prepare and ship online orders and remedies
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client and student inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing relevant information about our holistic healing services and classes.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, including keeping informational materials up to date.
  • Collaborate with the holistic healing team and instructors to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Uphold the values and mission of our holistic healing business by fostering a holistic and compassionate approach in all interactions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in a related field is a plus (e.g., herbalism, massage, reiki, homeopathy, acupuncture, etc).
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meticulously track tasks and responsibilities, while also demonstrating an understanding of the broader operational context.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Drive and applications, scheduling software - willing to train - and an understanding of payment processing tools).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Empathetic and compassionate demeanor, with the ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Hours: This is an in person working environment position and requires approximately 10-15 hours per week, usually during regular business hours. There may be requests for a couple weekend hours for special events which are less than three times a year.
Compensation: $15 to $17 an hour with room for growth over time, for the right individual.
