Certified Ayurveda Practitioner
After seeing how Ayurveda helped with her own fertility and prenatal health as well as her own postnatal healing, Rachel found her calling: helping others before, during, and after their pregnancies. She also helps people regain control of their digestive and mental health, allowing them to live healthier, and more balanced lifestyles.
Rachel received her training at Kanyakumari Ayurveda School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and maintains her national certification through the National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA). She’s also a member of the Minnesota Ayurveda Association.
Ayurveda is highly focused on diet: pairing the appropriate foods for particular body types with the seasons. It also emphasizes self-care that’s aligned with each body type as well as the use of herbal remedies to assist in healing. Celebrating the uniqueness of each individual, Rachel uses Ayurveda to help her clients rediscover their true selves, bringing balance back to their bodies and minds—maintaining that balance throughout the rest of their lives.
Working with Rachel
The first time you meet with Rachel, your appointment will consist of:
Introducing you to Ayurveda and how it works
Discussing your health goals
Reviewing current and past symptoms
Pulse and tongue evaluation
You’ll then receive specific recommendations based on the information gathered from your first meeting.
Within two weeks, you’ll meet with her again and receive a written report detailing your tailored healing plan. This may include biweekly, monthly, or even bimonthly check-ins, depending on where you are in your healing journey. This allows Rachel to accurately track how you’re doing and to give you additional recommendations based on how you’re healing.
When Rachel isn’t practicing Ayurveda, she loves being outside; hiking, taking her dog to the park, or getting her hands in the dirt while gardening. She also enjoys cooking for her family of three and spending time laughing and playing with her daughter, Indra. She especially loves being deep in the woods or next to water; closing her eyes and feeling the peace deep down in her soul—the same peace that she believes can be found in everyone’s soul.
